our summer

Well, This summer has came, and is about gone, the girl's enjoyed their vacation... I ended up loosing the day care job, for reasons un known still..... June came and went like a whirlwind, July did as well now we're into August, July 1st, I enjoyed my first ever drum and buggle corps show, this was our anniversary trip.... we went to Richmond ky to watch it at Eastern, it was fun. We ended up setting next to the Corbin High School band director and the rest of his staff, that was funny, because they told John that they were in our section and I commented that it would be funny if it was right below us, and they were!
We had our Bible School; on July 12th, the girl's had a Birthday party that first day of the kick off..... and the day before that Elizabeth had a swim party with one of her friends, Then we had Bible School, with 4 salvations.... Praise GOD! Then came Band camp from the week's of July 21st through August 1st.......
The girl's started school on August 7th, and have enjoyed this year, so far, with their favorite teachers that they both had asked for! John has started Band season, and has his first show with the band, tomorrow actually. He'll be gone from about 8 am to whenever, usually around 11:00- or 12:00 pm....
I'm still debating the job situation, it just hard to decide what I want and I've prayed about it, just not real sure where God is leading me so keep me in prayer please in this direction, I want something that will be willing to work with me with church, and my kids, I'd love to work in the school system; that would be the perfect Job, paid year round, off when they are summer breaks are paid for, benefits too and that's what I'm needing!!

Welcome to Summer!!!!

Well, we've been out of school since May 23rd, and as of yesterday June 4th, I am going to be working for the summer at a local day care center! I'm excited, to say the least! I'll be making minimum wage which is no big deal, i'd like to make more but, that's what I've been making as a sub teacher's aide anyway, so i'm not really loosing any money.

The girl's have gone back home for the summer. With a side trip of coming back here for Father's day weekend, So John can see them Father's day weekend. They've already been gone since May 27th, and will be back June 13th. I need to be cleaning; but just haven't felt like doing much and now that I am starting a new job wished that I have been doing something at least. So, after I go and have my TB asestment done, I will attempt to work on the house some tomorrow, and Monday, and continue up until I get called into work. I'll be working part time and also be a substitute worker. Which is fine with me.....

My enjoyable Friday!!! And happy Mother's day to all of the Mother's who read this blog!!!

This is for mother's everywhere..... Happy Mother's day..... and I wanted to share what a Friday I had with Brianna and her class mates..... IT was really sweet and I can't wait until Next year When Elizabeth is in the 5th grade, because I'll get this opportunity again! hopefully LOL!
Well; Our friday morning started out with taking the girl's to school so we could drop off there papers of getting to pick the teacher's for next year. A couple week's ago, Brianna comes in with this RSVP and invitation to a Mother/ daughter's tea given by the 5th grader's and their teacher's. I was honored that they thought to do this, I found out yesterday that the 5th grade teacher's do this every year, so this is why I can't wait for Elizabeth to go into the 5th grade because it was a lot of fun.... The time was set for 1:45 - 2:45 and we had the option of signing out our children while we were there so I did. Anyway, they had a program, their desk's were turned around like tables and the children made place mats for their Mom's with their names on them. Her teacher had the kid's draw portraits of their Mom's and then a picture of their favorite Memory. That was sweet to see. There was finger food's which I kind of figured that they would have so I didn't eat lunch before I left. I've been to tea's before that had finger food's so I figured that they would have it as well. The cake was a chocolate and vanillia marbled cake with white whipped cream icing with pink roses. Brianna got me a piece with the corner rose on it. Anyway, They had gift bag's on the tables with the Mom's names on them that consisted of a chocolate rose, (That was very wonderful, I might add) 3 packages of gummy life savor's and a milky way bite sized candy. And a necklace drawn with a heart with Mom written on it that the kid's colored. Then; they had you sign in on a ticket for door prizes, so my names was drawn! I won a vase, with a very pretty scriptural calendar......
Durring all of this Elizabeth came in Brianna's room real pasty white looking and in tear's asking me to take her home. I told her we'd have to wait a little bit because it was her sister's day and I wasn't about to leave with just getting there. She had a migrane headache. This makes about the 3rd one since last year. once she can go to sleep they wear off but, before she can get comfortable, and settleed down it's hard on her. We were able to leave about 2:40 the kid's did a wonderful job but it felt rushed a little bit because I was worried about Elizabeth. Anyway, once we were able to leave Brianna reminded me that Elizabeth couldn't have her allergy shot's because of her being sick with her headache so we headed home. Both 4th and 5th grade classes gave mom's plant's for mother's day as well. Brianna's plant has a white bloom on it and Elizabeth's plant has a purplish plant on it. SO, other than Elizabeth being sick, it was a good day.... I wish all the Mom's that read this blog a very happy Mother's day!!
Here is one of my favorite song's that the 5th graders sung
It's sung to Jesus Loves ME!
Mommy loves me this I know, For she always tells me so, Hugs and Kisses she gives me, When I fall and scrape my knee, Yes, Mommy loves me, Yes Mommy loves me, Yes, Mommy loves me She always tells me so!
Brianna's teacher also took Mother/child pictures and so I'll be getting that next week as well! I can't wait to see the difference in the hight! For those of you who know us, Brianna will take after her daddy for sure in hight! Elizabeth's getting pretty tall, too!
Well, I guess i'm done for now, until next blog!

Semester is over with

Well,
The Semester is over with, and finals are done.... Thank the Lord!! It's been a great semester, though starting out was hard but, once I got into the hang of it, I was ok... just learning the rules of On line class work and making my self disciplining my self into doing it when there were days I'd rather stay in bed! I am praying about next semester.
Brianna has joined a soccer team and is doing very well; as well as loosing weight along the way. This soccer Mom is quite proud of my oldest baby. She presented this idea all on her own; We did not "coach her" into trying it. I worry of course about asthma flare ups and injuries but, so far it's been an injury free season. Elizabeth sits on the side lines cheering for her sister and plays when Brianna isn't playing.
We had a 16 year old boy come forward for Baptism this Sunday evening! It was very exciting seeing what God has done for this child. He's very special to me. Both God and this boy are. I am excited to see what God has instore for us at Gethsemane Baptist Church and can't wait for Bible School this year!
As far as employment; I have learned that I honestly have found a job that I love but, hate that it's only 9 months out of the year! Can u guess what it is? Well; I'm a substitute teacher now, along with the many other Roles that God has for me, along with being a wife, Mother; pastor's wife; Sunday School teacher; Substitute teacher, and now on line Student. It's funny, too because the teacher's and aides at school never know who I am.... Because I also volunteer at school when I can. and am not working. So, I hear a lot, "Who are you, today?" Meaning "Who are you subbing for, today?"
I'm not sure If I can make it home this summer or not. It just depends on the gas prices and if I am able to. I'm hoping too, though. John and I are going to Drums on The Bluegrass. It's a Drum and Buggle Corps show and it will be at Eastern Ky university. I can't wait to go either! A date night!!! We don't get those very often...Well; I'm going to run for now, hope everyone's enjoyed this!

A strange request: And having a treasure hunt as we go along!!

WELL;
This may be strange but, I need prayer right now. John's car has been down for months and now his ignition Key for it has disapeared!! I've torn this house upside down, inside out and all around trying to find this Key. I feel like it's close by, just not able to see it, or find it for that matter. We need the Key in order to get the car to a shop so they can fix the starter for him. We can have the car towed but, still need the key to be able to start it once it get's fixed. Please keep me in prayer as I am on this treasure Hunt!! That's what it feel's like anyway!!! Well; I'm going to go for now... Will keep you posted on the treasure hunt!!!

WOW! A lot has gone on this year

WOW! A lot has gone on this year! I started Substitute teaching in the fall, and love it.... I love it so much that when my doctor told me last week I needed to stay home and rest for a week because of a really nasty sore throat, and fever, I cried because I didn't want to miss an oportunity to work, Well; That came on Tuesday. I ended up sick on Sunday of last week, and Monday, I took my husband's doctor's appointment. (his was just a check up and felt I needed more than he did, I love him so much!) Anyway.... My husband also sub's and was called in first on Tuesday morning of last week. Well, since he's been subbing, we've not been called in the same week, let a lone the same day. I recieved the call about 11:20. and told the principle that I was basically grounded because I was sick. So, she understood and wished me well. I was so upset... But, I did get to manage to get my home work done for the day while John and the girl's were out of the house. Oh, I forgot to mention,
Rewind to January, I decided to enroll back into Clear Creek Baptist Bible College as a full time on line student to finish my degree in Christian Serivce. So, far; it's been tough, since I started basically a week and a half late but, managed to bounce back quite well. Altho, i'm having difficulty with it, I do enjoy the fact that if I miss something, I can kind of rewind the lecture, Sorta speek, and re listen to it, until I can get in into my head, and it does work. Well, I finally have gotten almost all of my last work book done, New Testament 4, the book of Act's. It's such an interesting book! A lot of thing's I never really paid attention too before until now. I seem to be doing better in Revelation tho than Acts, and I think it's because John just finished doing a study on the book on Sunday morning's recently, finishing it up on Palm Sunday. Anyway, My prayer for this particular part of this blog that it be God's will, NOT Gina's will, but God's will that I graduate, and who know's where this degree will lead me. While enrolling, I had been working almost every day since the beginning of the semester. Well, It seemed like Satan started attacking, actually the teacher's/ and aide's have almost used their day's off and almost a Stand still, from February 5th, the night the horrible tornado's ripped through Ky in some counties there were like up to 3 touch downs in some counties. Anyway, for like 6 week's straight, it was bone dry, for both John and my self. I was able to get my school work caught up but, still. I had a system planned for study time etc. and it seemed there was no end in site for work. Well; that led me to wonder, How in the world am I going to pay for at first an 813.63 bill. Well; I spoke to my advisor, and it ended up being 413.63 instead, with an award letter that will prayerfully take care of this semester and next. Anyway; on up to now, It's April 7th and we're on spring break! I'm so excited to not having to get up as early, and feeling much better. Oh yea,! Easter was awesome as ever, of course, because Christ, died, and rose again, to save me! That weekend, My nephew's wife had their baby, on Thursday before Easter, My Dad called me to tell me the news(Dad never call's) Mom call's on Easter Sunday to wish me a Happy Easter (Again she never calls accept to tell me bad news but, this one time it's good) She told me that her live in boyfriend asked her to marry him. Now, It's April 7th, around 10:30 pm. I'm watching John and kate plus 8 and John and the girl's are in the living room watching their show's. This week is going to be filled with company and being busy, but, it will be fun!! Please keep me in prayer as I finish up this semester with basically doing my Systematic weekly assignment's and studying for final's!
