My enjoyable Friday!!! And happy Mother's day to all of the Mother's who read this blog!!!

This is for mother's everywhere..... Happy Mother's day..... and I wanted to share what a Friday I had with Brianna and her class mates..... IT was really sweet and I can't wait until Next year When Elizabeth is in the 5th grade, because I'll get this opportunity again! hopefully LOL!
Well; Our friday morning started out with taking the girl's to school so we could drop off there papers of getting to pick the teacher's for next year. A couple week's ago, Brianna comes in with this RSVP and invitation to a Mother/ daughter's tea given by the 5th grader's and their teacher's. I was honored that they thought to do this, I found out yesterday that the 5th grade teacher's do this every year, so this is why I can't wait for Elizabeth to go into the 5th grade because it was a lot of fun.... The time was set for 1:45 - 2:45 and we had the option of signing out our children while we were there so I did. Anyway, they had a program, their desk's were turned around like tables and the children made place mats for their Mom's with their names on them. Her teacher had the kid's draw portraits of their Mom's and then a picture of their favorite Memory. That was sweet to see. There was finger food's which I kind of figured that they would have so I didn't eat lunch before I left. I've been to tea's before that had finger food's so I figured that they would have it as well. The cake was a chocolate and vanillia marbled cake with white whipped cream icing with pink roses. Brianna got me a piece with the corner rose on it. Anyway, They had gift bag's on the tables with the Mom's names on them that consisted of a chocolate rose, (That was very wonderful, I might add) 3 packages of gummy life savor's and a milky way bite sized candy. And a necklace drawn with a heart with Mom written on it that the kid's colored. Then; they had you sign in on a ticket for door prizes, so my names was drawn! I won a vase, with a very pretty scriptural calendar......
Durring all of this Elizabeth came in Brianna's room real pasty white looking and in tear's asking me to take her home. I told her we'd have to wait a little bit because it was her sister's day and I wasn't about to leave with just getting there. She had a migrane headache. This makes about the 3rd one since last year. once she can go to sleep they wear off but, before she can get comfortable, and settleed down it's hard on her. We were able to leave about 2:40 the kid's did a wonderful job but it felt rushed a little bit because I was worried about Elizabeth. Anyway, once we were able to leave Brianna reminded me that Elizabeth couldn't have her allergy shot's because of her being sick with her headache so we headed home. Both 4th and 5th grade classes gave mom's plant's for mother's day as well. Brianna's plant has a white bloom on it and Elizabeth's plant has a purplish plant on it. SO, other than Elizabeth being sick, it was a good day.... I wish all the Mom's that read this blog a very happy Mother's day!!
Here is one of my favorite song's that the 5th graders sung
It's sung to Jesus Loves ME!
Mommy loves me this I know, For she always tells me so, Hugs and Kisses she gives me, When I fall and scrape my knee, Yes, Mommy loves me, Yes Mommy loves me, Yes, Mommy loves me She always tells me so!
Brianna's teacher also took Mother/child pictures and so I'll be getting that next week as well! I can't wait to see the difference in the hight! For those of you who know us, Brianna will take after her daddy for sure in hight! Elizabeth's getting pretty tall, too!
Well, I guess i'm done for now, until next blog!

Semester is over with

Well,
The Semester is over with, and finals are done.... Thank the Lord!! It's been a great semester, though starting out was hard but, once I got into the hang of it, I was ok... just learning the rules of On line class work and making my self disciplining my self into doing it when there were days I'd rather stay in bed! I am praying about next semester.
Brianna has joined a soccer team and is doing very well; as well as loosing weight along the way. This soccer Mom is quite proud of my oldest baby. She presented this idea all on her own; We did not "coach her" into trying it. I worry of course about asthma flare ups and injuries but, so far it's been an injury free season. Elizabeth sits on the side lines cheering for her sister and plays when Brianna isn't playing.
We had a 16 year old boy come forward for Baptism this Sunday evening! It was very exciting seeing what God has done for this child. He's very special to me. Both God and this boy are. I am excited to see what God has instore for us at Gethsemane Baptist Church and can't wait for Bible School this year!
As far as employment; I have learned that I honestly have found a job that I love but, hate that it's only 9 months out of the year! Can u guess what it is? Well; I'm a substitute teacher now, along with the many other Roles that God has for me, along with being a wife, Mother; pastor's wife; Sunday School teacher; Substitute teacher, and now on line Student. It's funny, too because the teacher's and aides at school never know who I am.... Because I also volunteer at school when I can. and am not working. So, I hear a lot, "Who are you, today?" Meaning "Who are you subbing for, today?"
I'm not sure If I can make it home this summer or not. It just depends on the gas prices and if I am able to. I'm hoping too, though. John and I are going to Drums on The Bluegrass. It's a Drum and Buggle Corps show and it will be at Eastern Ky university. I can't wait to go either! A date night!!! We don't get those very often...Well; I'm going to run for now, hope everyone's enjoyed this!
